Make Sure You Know What Your "Most Wanted Response" Is. E-mail

Web designers these days are very focused on search engine optimization (SEO.) If you are looking for more visibility on the Internet, SEO is crucial. However, getting someone to your website is just the beginning. Once a visitor has arrived, make sure you do everything in your power to make them do the thing/things you want them to do.

The "thing/things" you want them to do will vary according to the nature of your business/organization. It is called the Most Wanted Response (MWR). It is very important that you define what the most wanted response is for visitors on your website. For example, if you are selling products, the MWR will most likely be the purchasing of an item or a request for more information (email capture.)

Spend time developing a full understanding of your MWR. This effort will pay off when you start planning the design of your website. Simply stated, design your website so that it does everything possible to illicit your MWR from visitors.

Make a website that works. All too frequently orders and opportunities are lost because the website does not smoothly and effortlessly guide the visitor through the steps necessary to achieve the website owners MWR.
